ah ok, was afraid that was the case. i thought maybe there was another way to download and install it. just double checking, do we need that to play online PERIOD or just for online matchmaking? like, there isnt any way to play with someone via FC?- xroflmaowtfx

Competitive player of 7 years here. I've been playing competitively since I was 14. The point of competitive gaming isn't to ruin the fun. Is it safe? I know that Gateway 3DS is compatible with netplay, but is there a risk of getting caught and getting your 3DS banned or anything? Whether you're playing via online matchmaking or with a friend via FC?- xroflmaowtfx
