    I just updated a pirated game straight from the Nintendo eshop. So buying shouldn't be an issue either. Then I played said pirated game online and it worked just fine. So yes to both!

    Thanks. Mine's EU and most of the .cia games I've installed are EU too. But I've a couple that are USA. I guess I'll have to look for an update .cia for those then.

    Hi, I've just installed some .cia games on my 2DS XL and they all need updating. When I launch any of em it gives me the option to "Press Y to update". Can I update it that way and is there a risk of getting banned? Or do I need to do the updates via .cia too?
