It's fully backwards compatible. Rebug 4.81.

Hacking Playing a split PS2 iso?

I r=split Grandia III with ps3splitter and I put the parts on my HDD. When I click Grandia III in Multiman and then run the game in XMB, I go to PS2 mode but I stay in a black screen. I it the game's fault or something I did?

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

On 03ds, GenPlus runs S3&K horribly slowy. Picodrive runs significantly better but with choppy audio (better with lowered decibels). Is 1.50 really the best version? Getting far better compatability and less crashes this way.

Is there a genesis emulator with a stable fps for o3ds?

I have an O3ds. I keep getting bad audio in Picodrive (framerate is fine) whenever the game gets intensive. Any way to fix it? Also, what's generally considered the best NES emulator? They all seem pretty slow with 1.5.0 Retroarch.

    Hacking Nintendont

Does anybody know how to get the debug codes working in both Super Monkey Ball and Kirby Air Ride? Super Monkey Ball 2's debug functions fine but the first game's debug code crashes the game and graphical distortions appear. I get similar graphical issues with Sonic Adventure 2's A+X moonjump code.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
