    Hi there, yes the issue with mine was the game card reader was bad. there are two different versions of US game card readers. Yours sounds like software though unless you blew a capacitor on the game card reader ours would probably be different issues. Sorry

    the left and right pad are both Negative, you can just solder the middle pad to the correct place and the right pad to the correct place in this chart, you don't need to solder anything on the left pad

    yes they can, most possable issue is the ribbon cable has gone bad or pinched (have you ever opened the joy-con?) not sure where you are located but check ebay for "joycon SL SR Ribbon cable" that should fix your issue. Before you do that you can open up the joy-con and move around the cable...
