    I have tried this also with a super mario galaxy 2 mod by replacing the files with the ones from the mod but it would crash when i try to make a save file because the save file needs to be a custom format.

    I have finally figured it out! so, in USBLoaderGX if you have game iOS set to auto you have to turn off your Wii when switching games(I had to do this a lot and it drove me mad!).
