Should I wait to buy a USB Drive and Y cable and then do USBMLC? Or can I start RedNand and then transfer my games to my future USB Storage later...

It has nothing to do with if it was plugged in or not. Unplugging it helps not wasting the lifetime of other components.... Yes you can do it with your card. The minimum size is 8GB for the redNAND partition. But I suggest you also have a look as... -

I got the famous error 160-0103 after not playing for months. I feel this has something to do with not leaving the WiiU plugged in after a while. I only have a 64GB right now in the system and don't ont have anything else lying around...
