    Most updated homebrew apps can support at least SDHC, most can support greater sizes than that too. I don't know of too many apps that only work with SD, and chances are most of those are old apps you shouldn't be using anyway.

    It really shouldn't matter. Pretty much any size works in homebrew, though you may have some hiccups using it in the System Menu.
