    what is your diode mode reading for that line? with red probe on ground and black on the 0 ohm resistor, I am measuring 0.480-0.500 across a few hac-cpu-20 boards.

    I have had this issue before (on the left joy-con); it was caused by a burnt resistor on the serial data (console -> joy-con) line. you might check this area and see if these values are okay. though, I have also seen posts on tronicsfixforum...

    no components need to be removed aside from the LED in the joy-con, the components with highlighted yellow points on both ends just indicate that the wire can be attached to either side

    here is an updated diagram for the joy-con status LED mod which uses pin 5 (serial data console -> joy-con). I originally ruled out this pin as I assumed it would interfere with the joy-con's function, but in testing the only issue I have found...

    edit: I thought I had found an alternate method without connection issues, but it seems that it is preventing the joy-con from charging.. I will continue to test things tomorrow
