    I think the crystal hearts uses the secondary internal clock, which can't be changed by the user. That secondary clock will be different on different systems, but it can be reset to 0 if you take the battery out.     Maybe you're looking in the wrong place - maybe megastone.bin didn't change because the Mega Stones haven't changed? I think maybe the entry for Shiny Gyrados has changed to give it a slot for a stone, but that was probably achieved by editing Shiny Gyrados's entry himself, not the megastone.bin...

    Yes, that's exactly right. You copy left to right when extracting the save file from the game, and you copy right to left when putting it back into the game. Don't forget to extract the save again if you want to use the editor again.

    I can confirm that if you use a Skill Swapper and then use the editor's Bulk Edit to set all Skills to Lv. 5, it ignores Pokémon with changed abilities. I set Eevee to Eject+ before using the editor, and Eevee was still at Skill Level 1. There's also an out-of-range error that occurs if you...

    They haven't NNID banned anyone for using Ditto in competitions yet, as far as I know. So far, all they've done is removed their entry for that one competition and prevented them re-entering, but the next competition let them enter again. If they cared enough, they'd have done it by now I think.

It must be stored in the save file since you can play entirely offline apart from checking in and competitions. That way you'd be able to get bigger check-in bonuses and have 7 hearts at once...
