    Looks like it works for any method of acquiring the item as well. If you buy a handful of Pokeballs from the first mart you get a free Premier Ball and that got maxed as well.

    Anything that you cannot do in the vanilla game without modified hardware or software. I would say on the trading front that anything you can do that doesn't require software or hardware modification to make happen would be considered legit.
