Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I am sure this was discussed before. Just use the latest version of the official firmware or abal's version. both do the same thing, in different ways. With their latest changes, Abal and rehius made sure that the mod chip goes into standby properly. How they achieved this differs, but the end...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

You should check if kamikaze debris got under the cpu(apu). also clean all the flux from under the cpu as well. use the lowest temperature and high air speed to blow under the cpu, if your hot air station can go low enough to not melt the cpu solder. squirt some isopropyl alcohol under the cpu...

Hacking switch only boots into ofw, using hekate payload doesnt work

Yeah, happened to me as well. Try to check the error code on the mod chip through the bottom vent/speaker holes. You WILL need to open up the console and fix the wires.

Are you sure the display on the 3rd switch is good? maybe test it with a good working switch. Also the display connector might be bad on the 3rd switch, check for any bent pins there.

You could also try to remove the SD card. This way the payload isn't loaded so the boot is stuck. You can then easily press both volume buttons to boot into ofw.

that is true. you should be able to rebuild the nand with generic keys that the console will accept. obviously you cannot get online anymore, but the console will work. I think sthethix has a guide for that. if you have a donor console, you can get the keys and use those. or you can picofly the...

Hardware Switch Pro Controller weird issue

I opened up a pro controller yesterday and changed the analog joysticks with hall effect ones. If you use the correct tools, you should be ok opening it up and servicing it. ifixit has detailed steps for this. While I can't say on how easy the pcbs are to service, at least the disassembly is...

Hall Joysticks On Switch Pro Controller

Hi, the 5.20 version of the Joy-Con Toolkit doesn't let me send 0x10 or 0x11 debug commands. How did you manage to copy the user calibration to defaults? Did you use a different version of the toolkit or is there a way to unlock those commands? Thanks!

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

no need to update the sdloader manually, it gets updated automatically with the firmware update you just finished. manual sdloader updates are only required if there is a breaking change with the full firmware update package and the update process cannot flash both the sdloader and the firmware...

of course there are improvements. rehius reverted some changes related to overclocking, since it caused some stability issues. he also fixed the low-power/power-saving mode of the chip during normal operations. you should definitely use the latest version, or at least 2.75. Abal1000x also has...

what do you mean "no real need in upgrading"? you should definitely upgrade to at least 2.75, but 2.80 is definitely recommended, since it has some boot logic fixes. abal1000x's firmware can also be used, since he also made attempts to fix the pi's powerdown and boot (rare)issues. Changelog...
