    Just tried HOTD 2& 3, and it boots to a black screen. Using usb loader cfg32a with cios rev13a Is the hermes 222/223 necessary? I don't have this installed (nor would it let me for some reason).

    What are you talking about? Seagate makes great hard drives. I'm not sure how often their external kits fail, but my seagate freeagent 320gb has been problem free for the wii.

    You might have to rip isos from the backups onto your computer, then to your hard drive. Sounds like work, but someone might have a better solution.
