    The issue seems to be that Chinese knockoffs don't care about reverse-engineering Nintendos protocols while an official licensee like Hori can't do that, they can only use what Nintendo provides.

    Wished they included motion controls and HD rumble, especially the first. Now I still have to switch to at least one regular Joy-Con to be able to play games with motion aiming for example. I'd really like to use them for everything played in handheld mode.

    With an Nvidia GPU either use Moonlight or the official Nvidia GameStream client on Android. It's the best streaming experience you can get on Switch.

    On Android for the Switch you can use Joycons or any other Bluetooth controller with PS4 Remote Play. It's the same for any rooted Android device really. You can trick the Remote Play app to think it's a real DualShock 4.

    Check the log if it's applying the docked flag. The fan spinning up isn't really a guarantee for anything as just setting sys-clk higher can cause that as well.

    I've never used an unofficial charger with a 3rd party dock, but I'd assume that it will use the docked profile in that case and wouldn't know that the charger connected isn't an official one because the dock sends the correct signal for it to switch to docked mode. Might also depend on the dock...

    Yeah, it can detect if you're using an official charger. For docked you should only use an official charger anyway.
