Nope. Still have the DSi, been putting off posting to a forum that I forgot the name of. I'm surprised this post wasn't lost to time, how did you even find it?
Nope, it's just sitting in a box. I have a few ideas on how to discover potential leads but it's high effort, low chance, and I can't be bothered at this moment. I might in the future.
Best theory I've heard so far is that it's from a coke marketing team given as a prize for hitting some sales quotas. Makes sense considering the lower quality print and lack of any documentation whatsoever.
Also to the people who care about backing up v1.0j, I will be looking into the new...
I was thinking about doing that, once I had learned more about it and if the price was right, but I have no idea what sites to go to. I tried googling but I have no clue what the go-to place to go for this stuff is. That's why I even came here in the first place.
I personally don't have any reason to care about 1.0j, but does anybody care enough to actually look for flaws in this version? Especially when someone could just find another 1.0j and hardmod it?
Luckily I have like shit ton of flashcarts laying around, been playing them on the dsi. I can get to it now I think? I'll start looking into the links you've pointed out
Just to clear up now, hard mod for me is 110% out of the question. I'd love to hard mod literally any other dsi, but not this one. I don't 100% understand everything you both are saying, but if there is a way to do it with a flashcard or even softmod (as long as it's 100% restorable) I'd love to...
If I can somehow dump this firmware (preferably without softmodding?) I'd be happy to help
auto
Also it's a bit surprising that this version isn't backed up, you'd think it'd be pretty common, with people who never connected their dsi to the internet or something
