ROM Hack RELEASE NSC_Builder. Nintendo Switch Cleaner and Builder. (Game+updates+dlc in a single xci)

As mentioned by @duckbill007: You need a lower SDK version, my guess is that ideally you want the one closest to your firmware version. For example, I'm on firmware 19.0.1 as well, and I swapped the SDK of 2 games to version 17, one game worked but the other would still show a black screen...

Thanks, that did the trick, after a bit of searching I managed to replace the SDK and the game now boots.

ROM Hack RELEASE NSC_Builder. Nintendo Switch Cleaner and Builder. (Game+updates+dlc in a single xci)

Has anyone tried this method to get Mina the Hollower running? I followed the steps and the file is seemingly patched without issue, but Awoo installer fails to install it, DBI does install the file but when I select the game it just shows a black screen. Same deal with Rave Racer.

running 20.5 Is it worth upgrading my firmware...?

Thank you for pointing this out, after following the guide on page 145 the game can actually be installed now, but DBI complains about the SDK version, and the game only shows a black screen. I'll test a couple other games that were giving me issues and check that thread in more detail.

running 20.5 Is it worth upgrading my firmware...?

When I updated to firmware 20 my console became very sluggish, rebooting the console and loading games took a very long time, and homebrew apps also became slower. I read somewhere that one of the reasons could be that the newer firmware has less memory available for homebrew stuff, so I went...

Gaming Do you avoid old games that are only playable in 30fps or less?

I used to not care at all about framerates until I played Dark Souls 2 on the PS3 at 30fps, I reached the Fume Knight and couldn't beat him after a few dozen attempts. Then a couple years later I played the PS4 version at 60fps, fought him again and managed to beat him without struggling nearly...

Homebrew Homebrew game Project So... Dan didn't want to reveal his Vulkan, so I made mine.

Disc image and data folder cannot be changed in the settings menu, I managed to add the iso by manually editting the config.json, after selecting play the app crashes.

Am I really the only one who would take longer boot/load times...

Since I don't use parental controls and play mostly physical games those things don't really matter to me. If they add more useful options to the OS, or make the main menu look better with themes, at the expense of maybe a couple extra seconds to boot games then sure, but I wouldn't sacrifice...

Emulation Homebrew tico alpha 0.7.0 — GameCube and Wii now running on Switch (HOS), for the first time ever

It has a different checksum and file size than mine, so I guess it's the updated core, I'll test it out later, thanks.

I would still test everything without the GC controller adapter, just to be sure, the less variables there are while troubleshooting the better. I seem to remember some of Wiiflow's default settings conflicting with my setup and causing crashes and some games not loading properly the last time...

Emulation Homebrew tico alpha 0.7.0 — GameCube and Wii now running on Switch (HOS), for the first time ever

It was unchecked, but changing that setting does not fix the issue. After a clean reinstall it no longer crashes, it simply doesn't boot the game and then goes back to tico's main menu, but I'm still using the dolphin core from version 0.7.1.
