Nintendo Switch firmware update 20.0.0 made load times for all my digital games worse

Does deleting and reinstalling the games revert the loading times back to the way they were on previous firmware versions? I'm asking because when I updated to firmware 20, games would take more than twice longer to load. Even small games like Cosmo Dreamer, which are less than 500MB, went from...

Homebrew Emulator Flycast Standalone for Nintendo Switch

I just tested tico again and Sonic Adventure runs about the same as the standalone Flycast (aside prom the per pixel layer thing), but MVSC2 does run at full speed on tico.

The weekend is here, what are you playing?

Yeah it was really sad when Tri's servers went down, I might play it again now that there's private servers running, just to mess around with the bowguns again and to see for myself if Deviljho really doesn't eat his own tail (I could swear I saw it happen once). I think the moment when...

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

The weekend is here, what are you playing?

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X. Solid RPG, but a bit too easy, I didn't even know it's a sequel to Tales of Symphonia until I saw that there's half-elves and the moons of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. Tri was my first MH game so I may be biased, but I really like that fight. He's one of the...

Feedback Gaming Tales of Phantasia: which version should I play?

Fights pause whenever you cast a spell in the PS1 and SNES versions (I'm assuming the GBA one as well), compared to the PSP where the fight just keeps going uninterrupted. Aside from that I haven't found anything online mentioning any issues. I'll play the PSP port later today and let you know...

Feedback Gaming Tales of Phantasia: which version should I play?

I was wondering the same thing yesterday, from what I've searched the GBA version appears to be one of the worse ones but also the only one with an official English translation. Then there's the Super Nintendo version, I played it for a bit years ago but didn't finish it, and while I always...

    GBA VC injects, or Retroarch?

The games that I would play as VC injects are NDS, N64 and Duck Hunt, for everything else Retroarch is more convenient.

Feedback Recommend Me a Game: GBATemp Edition

It's a lot of fun, the bullet patterns are really interesting, in general I don't think the Touhou games are any more difficult than your average bullet hell shooter, your hitbox is quite small, and if you get hit you can quickly use a bomb to save yourself. The first one is my favorite, I...

Emulation Doest anyone emulate neogeo games on retroarch wiiu ?

I don't have my console at the moment to check, but I checked my Switch and the path is retroarch/cores/system/fbneo, assuming that you are using the fbneo core, so just create a folder called fbneo inside the system folder if there isn't one there already, and place the neogeo.zip file there.
