    lol I had this exact same problem and the store where I asked them to do the chip installation said they couldn't fix it and offered me to buy new one at discounted price ($150).

    After 10 days now they said they can't fix it and will give me a new one at 50% discounted price (since it's out of warranty time). :( They will use new oled one + old chip from mine so i'm afraid it will brick again soon.

    It looks like mine is bricked :(. The led goes from purple/pink to fixed red, I sent it to a store and they said the mainboard is damaged.

    I should be safe as long as I boot with a proper sd card right? I also tried to boot mine serveral times without a working sd card before I knew this and it is still working now.
