I ain't using the "straw man" argument, here. It is what it is. You see it most often when Nintendo's antics against someone happen. They always come saying "this is why pirating Nintendo's games is OK!". That is entitlement, no?

Since when did people ever OWN other peoples/companies software that THEY wrote and sold????? Unless YOU hired everyone on the project and made it clear that they're writing that software for YOU, its not YOUR OWN software. A perpetual license...

The whole point was that a modified console shifts it out of scope of Nintendo's updates, that should you update while running it with a modification, it can lead to your console becoming a brick. All it takes is one bit of one byte out of place...

The mass majority of folks that claim preservation to justify piracy are only doing it for themselves, not actual preservation. You don't need thousands of people preserving the same digital thing. The handful of people that actually try to do it...

Complete ownership in fact technically never existed when buying most commercial games, as they come with a license granting you rights rather than giving you ownership. The difference comes in practicality, as the only thing really standing...

And the Switch didn't have the benefit of playing an existing library like Switch 2 does, and Switch 2 actually helps with Switch 1 games which were bottlenecked in one form or another.

Dang, $1 cheaper than $900. Great deal!! 1779971372 It honestly wasn't worth it to me back then, much less now at an inflated price. Just buy a different Windows/Linux handheld or a Switch 2.
