    Very well put. I have 3 Japanese models and two NA models. When I opened up my Vita, did not realize that I needed a different battery (SP65X) but yes, the SP65M is for the North American unit. Well played good sir! :) EDIT: I JUST REALIZED THIS THREAD IS 4 YEARS OLD - MY BAD!!!

    Yes you can still use H-Encore, but it pales in comparison to Henkaku. If you want to get the BEST POTENTIAL out of the Vita, just remove H-Encore and install the Henkaku hack. I'm not sure if H-Encore is even supported any more, but the Henkaku scene is alive and well, and PLENTY of developers...
