Homebrew Official NAND Dumper - Create full dumps of the NAND

Thanks. Not sure if that was the problem or if it was that there was unpartitioned space at the beginning of the card. I repartitioned and reformatted and it appears to be working now.

Homebrew Official NAND Dumper - Create full dumps of the NAND

I'm getting the "first partition is not FAT32" error too. The Wii U is a 32GB model. I've tried two different microSDXC cards, one a 64GB SanDisk Ultra, the other a 128GB Samsung Evo. Both formatted using the following (command line, Linux): mkdosfs -F 32 -I /dev/sdj1 I dumped the first...

    Hacking QUICK/NEWBIE QUESTIONS here!

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid by getting a new drive. Sounds like I'll go with WD Elements, then; thanks! I mostly buy WD anyway (for platter drives; I usually buy Samsung for SSDs), though I hear Seagate has gotten its act together and is putting out a good product now...

    Hacking QUICK/NEWBIE QUESTIONS here!

Thanks! I don't need anything that big; I believe my current drive is 150gb, so even a 1tb drive would be a massive improvement. Has anybody had good luck with portable drives (WD Elements or Passport, Seagate Expansion, etc.)?

    Hacking QUICK/NEWBIE QUESTIONS here!

So does this discussion mean that USB 3.0 drives are working okay for people now, as long as they're partitioned MBR/formatted FAT32? Because I've got an old USB 2.0 enclosure that frequently won't mount and makes me do the disconnect/reconnect/power-cycle dance, and I'm thinking of replacing...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

Hi there, I posted the following over on the Wii Hacking board a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like this is a better thread for it. Plus, I've got some updates that I'll share below. Some updates: I've managed to get my old Wii running well enough that it's usable (output only works...

Hacking USB Loader GX running emunand from another Wii

Hi there, My old Wii no longer outputs a video signal, so I got a new one to replace it. (New to me; it's actually used. I don't have the model number in front of me, but it's one of the earlier-model black ones, with GameCube support.) I'd like to be able to run all my VC/Wiiware games and...

Hacking Can I migrate my data to another Wii?

Thanks Clutz450, the EmuNAND method sounds like it might be the way to go. I picked up a second Wii today on a 4th of July sale. I've never done the EmuNAND thing before and it's been years since I softmodded my Wii; what should I look at for how to do it? I see the How to Softmod a Wii...

Hacking Can I migrate my data to another Wii?

Thanks. I gather from that Betwiin page that the Wii Shop account data won't transfer over, so my VC/WiiWare games won't run? I was kinda hoping for a way to get everything working on the new system and not lose anything, but if there's no way of doing that then there's no way of doing that.

Hacking Can I migrate my data to another Wii?

Thanks; that sounds promising. Is there somewhere I can find more information on the process (getting the keys, decrypting the data, re-encrypting it with the new key (I assume), etc.)?

Hacking Can I migrate my data to another Wii?

Thanks; SaveGame Manager GX looks like a good start that will help with the saves and Miis but not downloaded games (VC, WiiWare, etc.). Is there a program I can use to back those up from my current Wii and restore them to the new one, or is my best shot with those just to find them online (WAD...

Hacking Can I migrate my data to another Wii?

The picture on my Wii is very dim; I think there's something wrong with the A/V connector. (I've tried multiple cables, both composite and component, plugged into different ports on the TV, etc.) I don't think it's fixable, and I'm considering buying another Wii and moving all my data over, if...
