When I visit a forum after having been inactive for years, I reread the terms to re-familiarize myself with its rules, as substantial changes may reflect a shift in culture. From the "Terms and rules" page linked at the bottom of every page:
"Members are not allowed to create topics or posts...
Back in 2019, I ported GSM Player to build under more recent devkitARM. It's on my GitHub account. (I hesitate to link it lest I look like I'm selling something, as I haven't posted here in a long time.)
Does anybody still use GSM Player? If so, what features would you like to see? Easier ways...
"Most clone consoles of any form have traditionally worked by basically being a ROM and save dumper"
Does a Game Boy Camera work with this clone? If it does, it's highly unlikely to be a dumper.
"Get a real GBC made by Nintendo"
Nintendo no longer makes and sells an authentic Game Boy Color...
That's a relief. I had thought it had something to do with legal action from Nintendo, like when Lik Sang got shut down and when a couple pages on PHWiki about GBA flash cards got OFFICE'd.
When nesdev.com moved from wwwThreads to phpBB 2, it left the old forum open but read-only. Would it be...
The rules of a game are a process, and processes are not copyrightable. If they were, then Taito, the publisher of Bust-A-Move (GBA#0226 and its predecessors for other platforms) would have already sued the makers of Snood (GBA#0133).
And as for the Minesweeper part: You don't get a fast time...
Want to play Lumines but can't afford a P$P? Use the GBA and flash cart that you already have!
Download luminesweeper, a homebrew GBA game by Damian Yerrick. There are versions for GBA flash cart (with music) and for GBA Movie Player (without music).
EDIT: change image locations to reflect...
xuom2: I own a copy of Tetris Worlds (U). It displays the copyright screen first thing after the GAME BOY/Nintendo logo, then it goes through BPS, THQ, and 3d6 screens before the title screen.
shadow1w2: Square Tetris plus dizzying graphical distortions of the playfield and a recreational drug...
Yeah, Tetris Worlds blows. I own that and six other GBA Game Paks.
If you really want a decent tetramino game on GBA, and in only 1.25 megabits to boot, try Tetanus On Drugs (Milestone 3).
And no, though the company formed by Henk Rogers and Alexey Pajitnov owns the trademark on the name...
I went to a garage sell last saturday, and the lady had a PS2 for sale, but she had a sign on it that said "Nintendo -$50", had to laugh, almost bought but she didn't know if worked, and she didn't have controller or cables, so I passed.
