Once again proving my point. Ok, I won't update a thread that shows the Mig is safe to use.
As a programmer, I thought I could use these posts to determine what makes the whole thing tick and contribute.
Frigging hilarious. Back to lurking I guess.
Actually, I think you are right. Lots of posts like this popping up on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Switch/comments/1lut61s/switch_2_users_be_careful_buying_used_switch_1/
That one has someone claiming to be working for Nintendo that sort of confirmed the part about buying used Switch 1...
You can't read can you.
I am not banned and am still using my Mig.
This post was not about me, it was about a friend. Normal people have those. I also have another friend using a Mig and he is not banned either.
But whatever, think of it what you will. I think I'm done contributing to this...
I am still not banned as of today, and that's after the kids had a marathon MKW session.
I don't think they can currently detect a fully patched Mig, seeing as how they ban for using unsupported hardware and I'm still not banned.
Seriously, you can't look at the linked chat log? This is as easy as I can make it https://i.ibb.co/7DZgLph/IMG-20250707-085442746-HDR.jpg
All credit goes to the person on Reddit that captured this. No wonder these things aren't reported more often, y'all don't even bother to read things before...
If you read the actual Nintendo chat it shows it was the cable.
My friend returned his banned console and exchanged it. He didn't want to bother warning anyone or dealing with it.
With as much flak as I am getting for simply making this post, I don't blame him.
But after looking around...
Not mine or my friends, but here is a Reddit post with proof. All credit goes to that person. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/1lqxqgr/comment/n1qiecp/
Looks like the flags are automatic. After you get a few, you get a ban. Thankfully if it's for something like flashing a cable, Nintendo will unban you. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/1lqxqgr/comment/n1qiecp/
Agreed, especially with all the stuff on Reddit and not a single ban post about it.
Well, let's see if anyone else reports it. Everything you need to recreate this is in the OP. Hopefully someone else tries? I'm using the Mig right now and don't want to add to the chance of getting a ban...
The component and FW are linked. Feel free to try yourself.
My friend already exchanged his S2 as he didn't want to deal with it, nor should he for using a cable.
