After starting a job as a full-time software engineer, I don't really have the enthusiasm to come home and spend even more hours pulling my hair out over getting some 0's and 1's to behave correctly :')
I wouldn't call it dead technically, if there's anything big that breaks I'll do my best to...
Thanks for this, it's not a limitation of TriPlayer but the Switch FS service itself (at least I believe so) as if for example you name a text file using a 'bad' character and try to view it or edit it using homebrew bad things tend to happen.
This looks like an image channel issue, I'm using a...
Hey all, I've been receiving a lot of requests for external HDD support recently so I wanted to address a few things. First of all, I've moved on from Switch homebrew now (a full-time programming job takes the excitement of coding away :P) so I'm not intending to continue development on...
I did, as I'm using SQLite in TriPlayer. If you follow everything I've done above but use a database file that has a 'dummy' table created (i.e. it isn't empty/new), it should work properly. You can see the source code for TriPlayer for how I'm actually using it.
You're welcome!
It doesn't appear because toggling a sysmodule in Tesla/Kosmos Toolbox straight up 'kills' the process, not allowing it to exit cleanly. If this happens, the part of the sysmodule responsible for communication between the sysmodule and application/overlay won't start properly...
I just downloaded the latest release and it's definitely there at `/switch/.overlays/ovl-TriPlayer.ovl`. Are you using macOS/Linux? If so the folder would be hidden as it has a `.` at the start of it's name.
I actually didn't change any code in the sysmodule itself, so I find it weird these issues have been introduced now. It could be an out-of-memory issue like @crazy_p mentioned, what FW + CFW are you using?
Edit: I'm gonna assume what's in your signature thingy :P
Apologies for the delay yet again, but I've finally added support for 12.0.0 and onwards! A few translations are also included thanks to a couple of users :)

Hmm... it should be possible, but I'd have to look into the USB library to confirm. The issue I see with regards to the player itself is that I have it set to add/remove files based on if they're accessible. I could make it so USB tracks remain imported regardless of if it's connected though...
Nope. I've got a month long break coming up across June/July so I'm planning to use this time to get it back up and running. Sorry for the delay everyone, it's just life has been crazy this year since I'm not stuck at home anymore...
Yeah homebrew can't write to the activity log while the switch is running afaik. One implementation of this could use backup/restore like functionality though to import other NANDs activity.
