The Neo Geo AES+ is a modern take on classic hardware with no emulation in the picture

It's literally an ASIC clone of the original console. You can't get much more not emulation than that. You can't even use the FPGA hardware emulation argument. It's literally burned into the silicon.

Hacking Sigpatches for Atmosphere (Hekate, fss0, fusee & package3)

I'm pretty sure it loads an alternate Kefirsphere that's been modified to restore the old memory map when you have it turned on.

Just an FYI for anyone that needs more memory for overlays or old homebrew. Kefir still comes with a 40MB fix that you can turn off and on. I've been trying your AMS+ fork and it's pretty nice. The sigpatches being built into the CFW is great. Just works.

This may shock you but you can just say this isn't for me and not buy it rather than pretend nobody would want this.

There were some good titles on the 3DO. It's not all cringe softcore p***. Assuming it sold well it may have gotten more. But yeah the hardware wasn't very good. That's what happens when you only license out to other companies to make your hardware.

Lol. It's the exact same argument people make against Modretro and Analogue. It's okay if you don't find this to be a good value vs emulation. Because honestly it's not. But that's not really the point. The point is to be more authentic. A hardware clone (FPGA or not) is going to function far...

The Neo Geo AES+ is a modern take on classic hardware with no emulation in the picture

Well, yes and no. It's a reverse engineered chip because the original components are probably not sold anymore. But all an FPGA does is configure it's gates to simulate an ASIC. An ASIC wouldn't be a clone of the FPGA clone. It is the FPGA clone burned into actual silicon.

Nobody cares bro. NeoGeo was/is considered astronomically expensive even back then. Same reason why nobody bought a 3DO.

See now this is cool. Not a $199 disc drive. Lol.

Polymega Remix, a portable device to digitise and preserve retro games, announced

I seriously doubt they're doing anything special with the disc drive. This is the same company that initially sold the system as FPGA based and then switched to software emulation anyway. Because it was cheaper and easier to license and modify software emulators on a custom Linux based OS.

You also need Hekate to setup emummc and manage backups. Plus Android/Linux.

Polymega Remix, a portable device to digitise and preserve retro games, announced

It seems to me like this is literally a glorified $199 cd-rom drive you can add $79 (a pop) cart readers and controller adapters to. It's basically the regular Polymega but with the built in PC ripped out. Now you have to provide your own hardware to use with their emulation software. It seems...

    Homebrew [DS(i) & 3DS] AKMenu-Next - Wood frontend for nds-bootstrap & Pico-Loader

Wow. Finally got around to updating this on the pico now. I have to say it's basically perfect now. Being able to access the DSi's SD is a nice touch. Just need soft reset added to pico-loader.

If you're using Hekate you really don't need fusee. Hekate can boot Atmosphere itself.

Is that it in the picture? That just looks like the regular Polymega. I don't really see how that's portable?
