    I got mine from the Cash Generators online store, just found a good deal and messaged the store and they told me it was on 4.2 within the hour. £100 for a 4.2 XL in good condition can't be complained at.

    I believe you could use either cart if they work on your 3DS, you may have to update the carts though. Just whenever you finish playing DS games you have to use the GW_INSTALLER.NDS. DS games stop the exploit from working so you have to install it again.

    Perhaps the brick code is still there but unreachable by normal means, that is, untill some clone devs edit the code and mistakenly enable it.

    The zipped Pokemon X dump by Contrast is fine, may be bad on certain sites but mine works perfectly.

    No that's what the article says, the DSi chip is just down clocked to GBA speeds which is not emulation. I do believe it would require a kernel level exploit to be done.

    Just tried this and my save is fine, maybe just a random bug that's happened to you. Does it always take you 30 seconds to close a game because for me it's closer to about 5?

    Linux is open source, GWs software is heavily obfuscated and requires a lot of work. Add to the fact that the software is designed to run specifically on Gateways hardware and not clone hardware and that adds an even bigger obstacle.     I think if you have the gateway card inserted it will take you straight into gateway mode but if you dont the menu will come up.

    It would be quite hard, converting some native 3DS input is much harder than just adding a button straight to the card, less igneous maybe but harder.
