Thank you.
So before I break something.
Launch this software via sx os in my case. Then install the newest firmware.

Ok, so I know the answer is in here I just cant find it.
I've been out of the game for a few months and am trying to get back.
My switch was on 4.1 but now on 5.1 I believe which I updated without burning fuses. I dont remember any of the steps.
Can someone point me to the step by step...
Anyone able to help me out?
Based on the first post in this thread I see this as being good to go but there are only 2 x's and the other numbers that may not be good have 3.
This is for a friend who cant open the switch to be sure because then she cant return it.

I'd highly recommend using tinfoil as it checks the file before install and allows you to ignore the firmware requirement.

I remember a thread showing which switches were still exploitable based on serial number but now I cant find it.
Is there still a way to tell?

All you need to do is create a folder on your sd called switch.
Place the tinfoil nro in it and run it once from the homebrew tab in sx os.
From then on put your nsps in the newly created tinfoil/nsp folder.
Run tinfoil from the homebrew tab and install your nsps.
