It seems to be a good game really to substitute for the lack of FFCC DS-style multiplayer.
It does have a hack, but no wireless one. Remember the 3DS must have the technology for a specified controller and it doesn't have anything like bluetooth.
Whoa! I have been wondering the same since I have the EXPLORE-NFC module for the Raspberry Pi.

If you have ironhax you can re-install it with 10.3.X payloads (you could call it update), then update your firmware so you do not lose the homebrew entry point.
