    Gaming Wii Hotel Consoles

The Starlight Systems are the hospital ones I believe. Wii Family edition is the console revision that removed Gamecube Compatibility, unless there is something else with that name.

Hardware What is the best External Harddrive for the Wii

My experience is: Internal: Western Digital External: Seagate Any internal Seagate or External WD drive had failed on me in less than a year.

    Gaming Wii Hotel Consoles

Well the unit I saw looked exactly like a retail Wii besides the Wynn Encore name and logo on the side and had a disc drive. Serial number started with LU (standard). The more I think about it, this being an amenity console for certain rooms or for guests to check out is likely correct. It...

    Gaming Wii Hotel Consoles

Went back to the thrift store this afternoon and it was gone. I did find articles about Mariott and Nintendo working together to have a Wii with disc games available from a menu in hotels (no discs needed). Nothing about Wynn though...

    Gaming Wii Hotel Consoles

Was at a thrift store today and they had a Wii with the Wynn Encore Hotel Logo on the side plastic (was not a sticker). I'm kind of kicking myself for not picking this up. Does anyone have one of these? Do these operate differently than standard Wiis?

Tonyhax is a new softmod backup loader for the PlayStation 1

I found a burning method that worked thanks to peoples help. I am using Data Life Discs and 24x speed and the games will boot and don't stutter. I can't seem to get Fighting Force (rev 2) to work though, compared it to redump and it matched. Game stays at "loading executable". Converted from...

Rumor Sony allegedly plans to shut down PS3, Vita and PSP online stores definitively later this year

The concern for me when the PS4/PS5/XB1 stores shut down one day is that many discs from the current generation and prior generation are useless as "day one updates" are required for these games to even play.

More than 750 PS2 prototypes have been released by game preservationist group Hidden Palace

From what I've seen these are review copies or trade show demo disks. Most likely the interesting stuff could be: 1)Inaccessible stuff on the trade demos 2)Extra content hiding on the discs that were removed in the final releases (leftover data from earlier versions or cut areas/levels/music)

Tonyhax is a new softmod backup loader for the PlayStation 1

I tried my old IDE drive with a USB adapter on 1x. Everything got stuck on "loading executable". Tried Jedi Power Battles, Klonoa, and Fighting Force. Have new discs showing up soon so will try those next.

Tonyhax is a new softmod backup loader for the PlayStation 1

Thanks so much for the information! I really appreciate it. I do have an old PC with an IDE DVD burner that I used in the dreamcast days, maybe I should try that one.

Tonyhax is a new softmod backup loader for the PlayStation 1

Anyone have advice for burning backups of your ISOs? I have a bluray burner and tried all sorts of speeds with no luck. I'm using Verbatim Discs. Am I better off getting a new disc burner? Games crash when loading fmvs or music will stop in game. Some games stop at "loading executable" on the...

A beta of Rare’s Dinosaur Planet for N64 has been dumped

I have not. Been a while since I read up about injects, but isn't the idea that you need to find a similar game to use that was on the VC service? Not sure where to start with Dinosaur Planet.

A beta of Rare’s Dinosaur Planet for N64 has been dumped

I tried with the following in Wii U's vWii: Wii64 Rice : Game Didnt Start Not64: Froze at File Select Screen Wii64 Beta 1.1: Somewhat playable but game stutters a LOT, glitchy file select screen, top left shows your character model the entire time. Never looked into Wii U retroarch or if that...
