Homebrew New Forwarders, With USB2.0 speed!

Hey Skater4599, Did you ever post your modified source for the usb2 forwarder anywhere 'cause I'd like to get a copy to create my own for WiiFlow, if you please... (I'd also like to remove any sd card checking and head directly to the usb drive for my personal use...) THANKS! -ss-

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

mugotu, Would it be possible to disable the wiimote selectable sort options and also the change themes option in the config pages when in "child" (passworded) mode? My kids are just the type to get settings in disarray so they can't find things & will then start yelling for Dad to bail them...

    Hacking SoftChip Backup Loader

Actually, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but he may have a valid point... Unless you have a modchip with an OFF switch, like the D2SUN, the software backup loader may *NOT* work as the modchip is already sending it's own pre-modified disc data to the IOS... -ss-

Hacking Wii case screws cover stickers...

Probably a dumb request but... Does anyone know where I can obtain a sheet of the little white stickers that cover the case screws on a Wii case? Seems to me that modchip sellers should have these available, as production cost would be next to nothing & I'd be willing to fork over a buck or two...

Hacking How did you mod your Wii?

djtaz, Were you trying to test it before re-mounting the drive back in the Wii case with the 4 screws by any chance? The reason I ask is that the WiiClip is designed to be thick enough that the 4 rubber-shock-mount screws will force it very snugly down onto the drive controller chip when they...

Thanks for letting me know that we had matching results... I was worried that I had set something up incorrectly... -ss-

    Hacking SoftChip Backup Loader

Evidently MINGW32 (under Windows) uses the fstab differently (was strange to me also) -- I made the changes that were posted back in post #131 (added the line "c:/devkitPro/devkitPPC /ppc") I haven't tested it yet because I was worried about the filesizes being different, but will do so...

    Hacking SoftChip Backup Loader

Have a question/concern if anyone can please help... I've downloaded/installed the Windows devkitProUpdater-1.4.7 from the above site; edited the etc/fstab & copied the softchip folder; moved the include files; and everything seems to compile with no errors (revision "11"). However, my output...

    Hacking SoftChip Backup Loader

So, my point is valid (even though I had the terminology backwards)... Bottom line is that *both* hardware/software solutions should utilize the same discs... (Non-decrypted, right?) -ss-

    Hacking SoftChip Backup Loader

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't "decrypted discs" (aka "patched") the ones used by "hardware-chipped" wii's to play their backups? Why then would there be any desire to have to use a different (non decrypted) format at all? IE: What if you had access to mutiple wii's, some "hardware-chipped"...
