    Are you playing a hack or the vanilla game? I know some Pokemon romhacks uncap the framerate and speeds the game up by default so it could be that. Does this also happen in other games? Are you sure your ZL key is working?

    There is an option called "Hold to fastforward (ZL)", if it's off then you have to press ZL once to toggle fastforwarding on and off, if you have it enable then you have to hold the ZL button. Don't mess around with the JIT compiler options, they shouldn't matter.
