    When you have a version that is below the latest one (official FW), you will be prompted to upgrade every time you open the browser. So in your case, it's not an error or anything, you won't be able to use the browser until you upgrade. As far as I know, at least. As said above, menuhax stops...

    When it doesn't work, I get the basic "The browser has stopped working" bla bla. It's a generic message. I'm downgraded to 9.2 so I don't have version issues, just O3DS issues.

    Turn your 3DS offline (button on the right of the console, on the edge), scan the QR code leading to the hack, hit Home, turn connection back on, open browser, proceed with hack. People report it has a higher chance, but it seems to be the same thing as spamming.
