Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

They ought to sell a version without storage and memory. Why are they forcing a bundle of these swappable modules with the barebones system? Have they forgotten it's a PC? Is it to make sure hardware performs as Valve expects for review purposes? Rhetorical questions of course. I don't much...

Hacking Emulation Gaming Should I buy a modded Switch for 3Ds games - especially when I don't have a PC?

I'd be looking for a 2DS. You can get both models at decent prices.

Hello, Im looking for new switch games to play

The new Metroid (Prime 4) is an experience, and everyone's talking about it.

Super Mario 64 gets a brand new port on the Nintendo DS, brings support for full local multiplayer

What was the official multiplayer mode on the DS then? Has anyone added all these features to the 3DS port? Recompiled N64 games on 3DS is peak awesome. I hope someone ports the racers soon: Wave Race, Excitebike, F-Zero, 1080.

Nintendo Direct June 9, 2026 roundup - Ocarina of Time remake announced, Kingdom Hearts IV trailer

Hm. The last time they updated OoT it was a bit worse than the original. And when they updated MM it was far, far worse. And in both cases the reasons were to appeal to people that didn't like the games to begin with.

Point being that your statement was wrong. Obviously.

Acer announces the Nitro Blaze Link, a streaming-only gaming handheld

Acer is pretty good at new product development and at getting it right first time. I expect this will be decent. Clearly designed exclusively for couch and bed gaming, and that's fine.

Nintendo shows off mouse controls for the upcoming Star Fox remake

Is this the 4th remake of Star Fox 64? I thought they'd go all-out on the graphics, but this looks like a third-party Wii U game. The voices sound lame too - which seems to be Nintendo's hallmark for remakes.

Steam Deck gets a major price bump, more than 40% increase for US buyers

Oof. Good ergonomics but that's about it. I'd be looking elsewhere. Isn't the chip 5 years old too?

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa explains Switch 2 price increases in recent Financial Results Briefing

Let me introduce you to inflation. Entirely unaffected market sectors increase prices because they think inflation is an instruction rather than a measure. 1778793207 That's not to say console prices are independent of memory prices. These are obviously connected. But in general, yes a shortage...

Twilight Princess PC port "Dusk" gets its first release

I wonder if we'll see people rebuild other Zelda games using the Twilight Princess engine. Or put Twilight Princess on 3DS. That'd be awesome.

Nintendo announces price increases across the board, set to come into effect from September in western regions

Is the price going to increase before or after the hardware update (with replaceable battery)?

Original ZSNES developers reunite, emulator gets a revival as Super ZSNES with a swath of new features

There's something to this idea. 90s gaming wasn't about crisp pixels - the graphics were all smoothed by the TVs. The devs of this emulator seem to get that. That said, I think the first enhancements go a bit far. I think I'd rather just see higher resolution sprites lovingly crafted by...
