    Hey fmkid! I tried to find a hotspot in direct vicinity of my various routers and repeaters. Nothing to be found. So I guess I throw the towel. But I successfully updated to 11.6 with a Gamecard from the puplic library. And local multiplayer works. So I am 99% happy.

    Yes, my other 3ds does show all my networks. But then it is a new 3DS. When turn on WiFi at the problematic old 3DS it doesn't show any errors. The card sits tight on the motherboard- I double checked. auto I just now tried to activate streetpass- it gave me error code 003-1099.
