It could just be an ESR thing. Have you checked the compatibility list to see if it is on there? I just loaded up my burned copy of it on a chipped system (not ESR patched) and it ran fine. Or it could be the ISO. CDRomance is really reliable for PS2 stuff. I also used Verbatim DVD-R.

I replaced the laser and removed the solder blob but the system still refuses to play certain games. Some games work fine, others don't. Is there any chance I would need to calibrate the laser's potentiometer from the factory?
