    Ah, I think I might see the issue. while it does say to backup those files, it doesn't say to delete essential.exefs, try throwing that back into its native directory and tell us how it goes.

    Make sure your IDs are up to date. If you've confirmed that they are indeed up to date, and you're on the latest fork, post an individual thread with your problem, don't hijack this one.

    What version of FBI do you have installed? Do you have enough storage left on your SD to write data to? If you can start a new game but it can't save any data, you may need to free some space.

    Are you on the latest version of FBI? iirc if you're not on 2.5.0 all previous builds no longer install files correctly
