ROM Hack Mario Kart Super Circuit ROM hack adds full 60FPS support

Hard to see the difference on the original smeary displays.

Do not sleep on the Switch 2 Pro Controller.

A lot of better controllers for the money, but Switch 2 Pro Controller does have some unique features right now: Wakes the Switch 2 (only like one 3rd party that does this atm.) Grip button assignments are remembered per-game Improved HD rumble Zero friction rolling around edges of analogs I...

Magic: The Gathering announces new Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration

These "3D sonic forever bad!" takes feel incredibly out-of-touch after Shadow Generations.

Hardware Dumb question, but is safe to use controllers paired with a hacked Switch on the Switch 2?

Nothing but a Switch 2 can read the inputs right now. Not sure whether you can even bluetooth pair them to various devices or not.

Hardware The SUPER5 OLED screen mod for the Switch Lite uses a 1080p screen and stretches the Switch Lite's 720p signal to fit.

Pardon a bump but I had a thought that seemed to not be addressed on Resolutiongate... this is not meant to defend Taki who should have absolutely disclosed the resolution... but this comparison is also not exactly apples to apples. From those close-up screenshots, it seemed like the Super5...

The MIG Switch reportedly does not work on the Nintendo Switch 2

A theoretical MiG Switch 2 maybe having an easier time emulating game key-cards is an interesting thought. Minimal license data you'd have to dump and just fetch the game data from Nintendo servers and let the Switch's SD Express reader be used. Might fail on games with no key-card release...

Running Switch 2 games in Yohoho mode : Polls are open

Switch 2 games are not running anything remotely like Denuvo PC software. Nintendo is very unlikely to use their Switch-focused services either.

Hacking Speculations about Switch 2 hacking

This is for game-key cards. There are also full game cards with the data accessed from them while playing (although there's a trend of charging $10 more vs digital. Seems like these cards might not be that cheap.)

Are we really need switch 2?

Let's not pretend Steam Deck is "high-end" anymore. Switch 2 handheld should be in the ballpark of Steam Deck performance at minimum, probably better taking into account DLSS and 1080p screen. So if you buy your games more on Switch than PC, that's a pretty good reason to get a Switch 2 instead...

Sega delisted a bunch of old games today

This is an announcement that you have until December 6th to buy these games btw. Nothing has been delisted yet.

I'm so disappointed in Nintendo's next console

The exact same e-shop would run miles better on next generation hardware I assure you. Trouble is they'll likely introduce a horribly bloated new e-shop replacement.

Nintendo confirms that its next console will have backwards compatibility with the Switch

The confirmation is for investors. Things like this and the XCX announcement are breadcrumbs to try and tide them over till the Switch 2 announcement that is at least another 3 months out.

    Analogue will start pre-orders for their FPGA-based N64 re-imagined console "Analogue 3D"

Unlike most cores the Mister N64 is incomplete/slightly buggy and to the point that the core author declared that 100% compatibility won't be feasible. We're just barely getting games to 100% playable right now. Its "good enough" for most but its not 100% there, and certainly not a match...

Indiegogo campaign launched for DNA Duo, a second screen for your Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and more

Note that SteamOS game mode only supports one display. If you plug an external display in the main Deck screen goes black. The only way to use this right now with that OS is via desktop mode.

RetroArch is now available in the Apple Store for iOS devices

Playing a modern 3D game will destroy your iphone battery (or maybe running Dolphin without JIT), the paltry Retroarch cores aren't going to touch it.
