    Crash Bandicoot 1 has been working for me on Wiistation/WiiSx for a long time. Just loaded it now to be sure and it's working fine, I'm playing through the first level. Only other suggestion I can think of, have you tried setting/ it up to boot through bios?

    I might have a bad ISO then. I'll try a different one. Edit: Yeah, I had a bad ISO. Medieval 2 works. On a side note, tried Twisted Metal 4. It works, but your car blinks in and out when you drive along in the battlefield. So kind of graphically buggy.
