    I checked against the compatibility list and the games I'm trying work. I know the iso's work from running them in Dolphin.     What an odd issue! It's an older 500gig external Western Digital. Works fine for everything, so I really don't think it's the drive. I'll try the cable switch though!

    FYI - I just added more info and a syscheck info dump to my original post in an attempt to keep all my info and fix attempts clear to help solve the problem with minimal confusion.

    UPDATE: I reformatted my USB drive to make sure it was set to 32k clusters, installed DM 2.10, and added games via DM Toolbox set at optimized and 32k clusters. Still same issue.     My USB drive is formatted to FAT32 with 32k clusters. Games were added by dragging full size iso's into /games/<game title> folder/. Didn't use DM Toolbox. I know the iso's are good from using them on Dolphin. I'll try the 2.10 install. Thanks for the link; I'll let you know how it goes.
