    Well, atm you can mix different graphic cards together There will have no problems. Just take care about the memory in each, if one is a 1Go gfx card and the other a 512Mo card, the system will use the lower value. So only 512Mo will be use on each card.

    By default you have a Administrator account and an user one. The one you use by logging in is the user account. You use the administrator when you're using sudo in console mode

    SU for SuperUser On Ubuntu, to call your SU rights you have to tape : sudo or on others distro su -c ( like in Fedora ). +1 Xchat a well done IRC app'

    LoL KDE is harder to customise than Gnome ^^ When I begun with Linux ( Fedora 7 ) I've always use Gnome. * Viruses exists on Linux, there are rare but can still infect your system. That's why you can install at least a firewall

    Quite right From my point of view, Ubuntu is for newcomers in linux's world as Mandriva for instance I'm running under Fedora and I'm setting up my ArchLinux system ( pretty hard btw ).

    In a certain way, yes. The windows search registry take a lot of ressources while the system is running. But this one is not really affected by defragmentation. It only work when you're searching files through windows explorer. So that your system have been defragged or not it will take the same...
