@The Real Jdbye Except Apple DID use USB-C; the 2017 MacBook Pro with that Touch Bar gimmick has four USB-C ports, and no others.

  • RichardTheKing @ RichardTheKing:
And I definitely prefer wired charging to wireless; for one thing, cases can block wireless, and wired provides more efficient charging since it's going directly into the phone. Oh, and less heat build-up too.

  • RichardTheKing @ RichardTheKing:
I guess USB-C was an intermediary whilst Apple was designing MagSafe 3? I dunno, nor do I know when MagSafe 3 was introduced. All I do know is that the 2017 MacBook Pro definitely has four USB-C ports, since I've got one.

I was looking at the Apple Store earlier, and apparently my laptop is worth $770 trade-in...huh.

and there are actually people defending them saying they don't want apple to change the connector because they'd have to buy new accessories

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but like most of us have usb-c accessories already to use with our laptops or whatever
