    Hacking Friend got a red Wii, wondering if it can be hacked.

    Yup, just finished softmodding a brand new red Wii myself. Aside from the fact that it won't read DVD-Rs things couldn't be more simple. Just use ModMii and have it walk you through a virgin 4.3 mod, and then have it walk you through setting up USB Loader. Easy as pie!

    Yup, at this point I've tried using the mload-222 version, and I've even tried adding manual ios arguments to the CFG USB loader's meta.xml - if I try and use anything other than IOS249 to start the loader it just freezes at the big blue 'CFG"' splash screen with the DVD slot light all lit up...
