    I believe it's just a matter of changing rxtools files to Luma3ds and follow the guide after that part since you essentially need to set up emuNAND to install a9lh but I checked that a long time ago when there was the 5 step guide instead of the better and time saving newer one.

    You can update the NAND that you boot into and also download the latest payload for the hbl loader cia and you should have access to homebrew too. Good luck. Edit: all this is assuming you followed his guide and had installed the hbl loader cia using the injected FBI.

    If he doesn't know about updating it then I'm assuming he's using plaiclets guide for a9lh so he should be running luma3ds which has firm protection enabled.

    Haha yeah didn't actually read through entirely as I was trying to eat and finish some work while replying all at the same time LOL. I'm multitasking like crazy right now.

    Smea has updated the payload for the hbl via for 11.1 already so you only need to update the payload to use the homebrew launcher if you're running a9lh. Other hax are still being fixed at the moment but I read somewhere that oothax works. Yes a9lh can simply use the updated payload to launch...

    I saw plaiclets guide being updated to include 11.1 for the downgrade. auto https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/DSiWare-Downgrade this particular guide that I'm reading does include 11.1.0 so I'm guessing your luck hasn't run out yet ;)
