Is lower capacity memory less prone to data rot?

I know I'm late to this thread, but another aspect missed is that older flash memory (which, by definition, would have smaller capacities) would have been manufactured on larger transistor nodes. Larger nodes used for flash memory results in less voltage leakage and therefore better data...

It's already included - look in, uh... either "portableapps" or "programs" (I don't remember which of the two it's in - for reference "portableapps" gets loaded into the PortableApps menu while "programs" gets loaded into the B:\ ramdisk drive)

    Hacking Fixing vWii Mode

I do not have a Wii U myself, but when I borrowed the Wii U from a family friend a few years back, I found that my TV was actually a bottleneck in terms of why I found 1080p and 720p to look quite a bit crisper than 480p. Doing subsequent tests from a PC using a native 480p image revealed that...

Hence: Also we have no idea what PC(s) you're dealing with. (DISCLAIMER: I'm on a 4c/8t Haswell Xeon with iGPU)

My point was that RPCS3 is natively available for Linux, and I don't imagine the PS3 version of Sonic CD 2011 is lacking compared to the PC version of Sonic CD 2011? (other than performance from emulation overhead)

More on-topic... is it just me or does MediCat (v21.12) always have a BSoD that says "KMODE Exception not handled" after exactly 3 hours and 6 minutes of uptime? I've had this happen on at least two different PCs, though they admittedly used rather similar hardware... So this article is...

While unconventional, you could always emulate the PS3 version since console emulation has been a first-class citizen on Linux for many years now. I can't imagine that the likes of Sonic CD would be anywhere near as demanding to emulate as the likes of Uncharted 3.

If you desperately want to run Steam from a USB drive, consider looking into Linux instead - you can have the OS itself be installed onto USB media.

Oh right, I was thinking more from the angle of reliability rather than performance, which is rich considering that even 2 of the 3 Inland SSDs I have seem to be DRAM-less! (disclaimer: I did not buy either of the 2 DRAMless SSDs)

This might be too "advanced" of a suggestion, but under "Capacity Testing" there's always the manual way of just making SHA checksums of a bunch of files, copying said files onto the flash drive and then, after unplugging and reconnecting the flash drive, reading back the checksums (this is what...

Maybe because the post you're quoting is talking about an older version (21.03?)? The latest version is 21.12 which, as you state, does not seem to have a VHD file - my guess is that it's been superseded by a different method of doing things. Again, if you want to be able to boot in legacy...

If you do it the manual way (install Ventoy first), then it's very easy to configure Ventoy as such. Then you can just manually copy over the corresponding MediCat files.

Might be a good idea to do hard drive health check. Throw Parted Magic on a different drive (Ventoy is your friend to make this easy) : http://mrsebe.bplaced.net/blog/wordpress/?p=80 (If your PC is newer than like a decade, use the mirror links near the bottom of the blog post under "Parted...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

If it makes you feel any better, my TV is already one such case of in fact forcing overscan when using analog signals (and considering I'm directly using component cables with no converter/adapter from a non-hardware modified Wii console, analog is my only route). So my comments of it looking...

I mean, this only makes sense considering Jayro's interest in AI - I mean, what else are you gonna use those multi-thousand dollar scalped GPUs for? Gaming? *pffft* non-joke DISCLAIMER: I like using integrated graphics to minimize heat output and noise; also I'm stuck with smaller resolutions...
