Hacking Hardware DUMP NAND AND/OR KEYS - IOS BRICKED WII

If you don't have Bootmii as boot2, or a nand backup (or at least your keys to build a NAND) to flash using a external NAND programmer, you're SOL.

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Homebrew app How do i brick my Wii?

I know for WiiXplorer you have to enable Nand write access in the settings. Did you do that?

Tutorial How to make a DVD compatible opening.bnr file (for .iso and .wbfs files for example)

Still recommend use of a modchip. The software method runs discs at like 1x (very slow!)

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Homebrew app How do i brick my Wii?

Uninstall bootmii as boot2, run comex's nand formatter, and unpug it a couple second after it starts. Easy low level brick.

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Misc Tutorial Method to tell if a Wii can install BootMii as boot2 from the outside

For Japanese Wiis, I think they got -1 added around the same time as USA consoles. MY LJF133 & 135 don't have it, but I've seen LJF142 that does have it. My 133 and 135 are late boot2 unpatched consoles. Also would update the first post because to my knowledge ALL LU35s are patched. LU349s came...

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Misc Tutorial Method to tell if a Wii can install BootMii as boot2 from the outside

I do believe it started with LU560 (at least for the 5s - 3s idk) My 560 has it but my 557 does not. I haven't seen a 558 or 559 to prove it though. No idea what it means, but it might correlate with something with the disc drive? My 560 had a - for lack of better word - "not shiny" disc clamp...

Hacking Hardware Homebrew Misc Tutorial Method to tell if a Wii can install BootMii as boot2 from the outside

LU56 - LU57 also have the -1 suffix and are ALL unpatched, same with the early LU58s. I don't know when the cutoff is, all I know is LU586 is patched. My newest U58 that is unpatched is LU582. Haven't acquired a 583, 584, or 585 yet... possibly LU585 is the cut off. I've also seen LU344s WITH...

Hardware Strange Wii motherboard - what the hell is going on?

After a few days of messing around, it seems to be fine now. No more crashing or static audio. Quite glad it came out well at the GPU is good

Hardware Strange Wii motherboard - what the hell is going on?

I messed around a bit more and finally got the hackmii installer to boot and I installed bootmii as boot2 fine. NAND backup went well, no uncorrectable bad blocks. I’m starting to lean towards bad RAM, as while some games worked fine, some would crash (reboot, or sound of death) and some would...

Alternative to Bootmii idea/concept for Family editions and mini

Cool idea, unfortunately that's not how the Wii works at all.

Hardware Strange Wii motherboard - what the hell is going on?

Out of the over 100 Wiis I've worked on, I've never come across something like this... Here's the story: White Wii, Serial # LU301259596. Labeled as "no output" Sure enough - plugging it in, got nothing. Not even a black screen. After ruling out video capacitors, I thought it was some major...
