    Mains, its cheap third party one. Probably just a regular phone charger with the wire/connector swapped out. I´ll test the circuit on a breadborad tomorrow and report back.

    I want to see if the DSi has some way limiting the voltage by itself that i could modify so could get rid of the diode and my DSi XL (different console) wont charge with an after market 5V charger, so im critical of the 5V being ok.
