The problem turned out to be that I was pushing the hekate payload instead of fusee-primary. Everything was working fine afterwards, including some older applications that appeared the same error as tinfoil after installing. What's the difference between those two payloads?

I've copied the unpacked folders and merged them into the atmosphere folder. The 2 new folders inside atmosphere contain the sigpatches.

I've updated the sigpatches but the error persists. DBI works fine although a bit slower than awoo (15 mb/s from 33-45) and some apps (mostly old ones)) that I've tried to install are installed successfully but do not open from the home menu (same error message as tinfoil)

Thanks a lot, but tinfoil keeps on giving 'could not start software' errors. Does it have to do with the sigpatches?

I've edited the original message with the quote, for some reason it wasn't included in the quick reply section on the bottom of the page. I didn't upgrade my emuNAND since it wasn't mentioned in the setup guide that I've followed, once I've figured out it was necessary I've upgraded to 16 and...

No specific reason to run in 4.1.0 this is just my sysNAND and since I'm a newbie and the guide I've followed doesn't mention updating the software I didn't do it. I'll proceed with that and let you know if the software works.

I 'm trying to install .XCI or .NSP files through USB due to file size (considerably over 4gb given the FAT32 formatted sd card) but nothing seems to be working. I've set up my sd card files using NH Switch guide. This guide does not contain the 1) sigpatches which I've put later, 2) fusee.bin...

I'm actually trying to install an .XCI file, but I guess it shouldn't make a difference. The patches have to be downloaded from eXhumer's GitHub repository, right?

Is there any detailed guide on how to install applications with TinWoo Installer. I've tried to upload with ns-usbloader but I get a failed to install error, so I would like to make sure I'm doing everything the right way.

Whenever I launch TinWoo Installer I get a prompt about hbmenu running in Applet Mode. Should I disable this? I don't have any installed titles yet.

Pretty much ended up looking up for USB install instead. Any suggestions for XCI installations? I think I've came across solutions only working with NSP, but might try ns-usbloader.

TinWoo does not recognise files split and trimmed with java-xci-splitter, right?

I'll try to install it, thanks. I know but I don't get the installation screen (loading folders etc.), instead the screen blinks for a couple of seconds and Tinfoil is not found on the home menu.

I can't launch Tinfoil from the hbmenu, pressing/clicking takes me back to hbmenu. Any thoughts?

Updated with Daybreak to 11.0.0 using the FAT32 only option. I guess the controller update prompt on start is safe to do?
