    So I've been playing the MH4U on a good ol' 3DS 4.5 fw in GW 9.5 emunand, sadly this is a retail card so its via classic mode. Been trying a couple of things but no dice: GW classic can't run .cias ... great :( GW mode doesn't read retail cards - savedatafiler can't even see it? 4.5 CFW I think...

    nah it actually works on 8.1 as well, there is a bug where the version text doesn't say GW3D though

    yeah GW features doesn't work on 8.1 . The exploit works but after the you get the GW menu you'll have to make emunand and then update that emunand to 9.x to get the multi rom menu, etc

    ahh, no I don't see gw3d :( I did move the folders around to make sure I know when I'm in emunand. ...but this is poop, I can't get the multi rom menu to pop up. Its still the select button to trigger it right?

    oh... what the... tried with the duowan save file for jpn OoT. After waiting 5-10 sec and then the white screen for a few seconds, gateway logo popped up! So to confirm that's gateway running on my 8.1 JP fw N3DS, no need to update to 9.2

    woo! well I can see the save now, it loads but when running the gw exploint (in the tree hut) it just errors out to home page. I'm on a 8.1 JP N3DS though... will see if there's any way to get to 9.2

    worked using my mh3u cart dump's header. question - if capcom released an update for mh4g, would it mean we're screwed and can't play online (unless we're using a japanese 3ds)?
