Hardware Tutorial Using NAND-AID to repair a broken eMMC (fix 160-0103 system memory error)

3rd option did boot to the Wii menu, but then kicked to a 160-0103 error. Other console goes to blue led when the power button is pushed, and that's it. no display, never able to get the pi pico menu to function, pushing eject activates the drive, so I dont think it's navigating the recovery menu.

Ok, I've skimmed the isfshax guide, set up an sd card, and a menu now displayed. I need to do some more reading to figure out where to go from here. Any hope for the other console with it not booting in to any recovery menu?

No, takes about 5 seconds to hold the power button for either of them to turn off. Here is the red standby, to purple flicker, to orange. No sd card or pi pico plugged in, but it does the same thing when they are plugged in.

No, neither console have a solid purple led with the pi pico. The only purple I see is with one console with a quick flicker at bootup whether the sd card is in or not. I've tried all kinds of delays with the pi pico and dont think I've ever got the menu to load. Pushing eject always...

Is this anything that can be done with consoles that dont display anything to the tv? I have 2 that turn on but have no display. I've tried to do the pi pico blindly but didnt get any results. I did test the pi pico on a good unit so I know the setup works.

Those early model lasers can be fussy. We used to flip the whole console upside back in the day.

I've only done 1 audiophile xstation. I'm always looking for 5501 when I go out thrifting. Found so many that had dead lasers, but that exactly what kind of a deal that I'm looking for.

Editorial Your most disappointing video game sequel

Late state for the 3DO, was around 1996-1997 when we got the system. Games were still available at places like Funcoland, Babbages, Software Etc. Home CDR burners were very expensive and having dialup internet did not help. Game rental was where it was at, we had 4-5 places in our town that...

Born 1980, grew up in the golden age of gaming. I bought a 3DO when they were being blown out cheap at the back of gaming magazines. I think I got the System, Need for Speed and Escape from Monster Manor for $150ish.

I played so much Need For Speed on 3DO. Saw NFS2 on PS1 and picked it up, did not care for that one.
