    Hi, im trying to recover the firmware by running the dsttflashwriter.nds although it just sits at the screen saying "press a after inserted card" Is it possible to recover the firmware from something like the G6 or does it have to be another toptoy card to recover it from?

    Yeah but you could easily enough say that you bought the wii from someone else etc. Excuses are easy, theres nothing they can really do but try to block it through an update.
