    To unlink them - what i did was take the sd card out of the 3DS (as well as take the cartridges out to be safe) and format the 3ds (sysnand). The reason why they told me to unlink it was cause it prevented me from having to "unwrap" my apps that i installed through cia everytime i restarted...

    I had a 64 for my internal 3ds. It worked great! I actually bought another one of those for my gateway as well. $60 for 128 gigs was worth it for me.

    No, i think you need the "new" 3ds xl.... the one that comes with the c-stick. AFAIK, those systems come between 9.0 and 9.6

    Good deal. Yes gateway works on the new 3ds xl. 9.2 firmware or lower. - Go to settings and it will be on the upper screen on bottom right side.

    you can backup nand and do the things in gateway menu, before you get into the actual gateway. You can also get your cia files.
