    I would expect it to be a menu that redirects to various DOL's depending on the demo. So if you wanted to play all the games on a USB loader you'd need to have loads of alt DOL's lying around.

    Well there are 0 working Virgin 4.0 hacks. So why do they need to admit defeat? Maybe IF a 4.0 hack gets released they will block again. But that's about it.

    To actually answer your original question (seems to be lots of people going off topic today) YES you can play original games via backup channel/launcher. They will run at full speed as they are detected as proper versions. And they will skip the updates.

    Depends on the game, Hamster hero/Top trumps is tiny (couple of hundred meg). But SSBB is 6.7gig. Get yourself a nice Maxtor Basics HD and grab the tools of their site to disable sleep.
